Black, White, & Neutral All Over

It’s Fall Y’all!

But Chicago must be drunk because it feels like winter temps outside already! Go home winter you’re drunk! I look forward to fall. I live for fall! There is nothing that gets me more excited than fall fashion!

  • Chunky sweaters
  • Jackets
  • Boots
  • Blanket Scarves
  • Leggings

I could keep going but you get the point!

Right now I’m living for black and white with a hint of cheetah! My style tends to be classified as “City Chic” with touches of French glamour! As some of you can guess, my favorite colors are black and white! Nothing feels more classic, chic, or elegant than black and white.

When I lived in Paris when I was 19 it changed my life. It broadened my horizons of fashion, architecture, history, food and wine of course! Most important to me was the fashion! Everywhere I turned there was inspiration. From the streets, on the metro, in the Monoprix (think Target), and simply going to get your morning baguette!

I carry that with me now. When I dress, even if it’s just to run errands, I always make sure to look chic. I learned from my Parisienne style sisters that minimal details are key to effortless style!

Here are two of my favorite looks so far:

What I’m wearing:

I love this look because it’s comfy yet the black lace up detail gives it the perfect edge to make me look chic and effortless. I could throw on a black flouncy hat and immediately look put together!

My favorite look for work and after work is:

The faux leather leggings make this look edgier and if I was going out after work for an Apéritif (a cocktail before dinner) then I could add black heels! The cheetah print coat goes well with any look to dress it up or down. That is the best part about the neutral tone.

What I admire most about French style is how classic and effortless it is!

Here’s to many more outfits 😉
